Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care facility in Dubuque, IA. You will deliver high-quality, person-centered care, manage chronic conditions, and support residents’ safety, dignity, and quality of life while collaborating with RNs, physicians, and families.

The position is full-time travel; Day Shift with weekly pay of $1,378 and ample local support to help you succeed on assignment in this community.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• Licensure: Current, unencumbered LPN license in the State of Iowa (or active Compact/NLC state license).
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with healthcare teams and families; proficiency in EHR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care & Monitoring: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care, and execute routine nursing procedures following individualized care plans.
• Assessment & Reporting: Continually assess changes in resident health conditions and promptly communicate updates to RNs, physicians, and resident families.
• Collaboration & Support: Work alongside CNAs, therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation goals.
• EHR Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely resident records within the Electronic Health Record system in compliance with facility and safety standards.

Preferred

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Hands-on experience with specialized wound care or palliative care principles
