Job summary

Healthforce seeks an experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care facility in Dubuque, IA. This travel contract features a Day Shift and the opportunity to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

You will administer medications, monitor residents, and document care in the EHR, with support from local staff. Iowa-licensed or active Compact/NLC state license is required, plus BLS/CPR certification and 1+ year SNF/LTC experience.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Are you an experienced LPN looking for your next rewarding travel assignment? We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care facility in Dubuque, Iowa.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care, manage chronic health conditions, and support residents in maintaining their safety, dignity, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities

• Resident Care & Monitoring: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care, and execute routine nursing procedures following individualized care plans.

• Assessment & Reporting: Continually assess changes in resident health conditions and promptly communicate updates to RNs, physicians, and resident families.

• Collaboration & Support: Work alongside CNAs, therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and rehabilitation goals.

• EHR Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely resident records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in compliance with facility and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.

• Licensure: Current, unencumbered LPN license in the State of Iowa (or active Compact/NLC state license).

• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of long-term care or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience.

• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with healthcare teams and families; proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.

Preferred:

• Prior travel nursing experience.

• Hands‑on experience with specialized wound care or palliative care principles.
