Job summary

Healthforce is recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse for a long‑term care assignment in Sistersville, WV. This travel position runs for 8 weeks starting 08/27/2026 with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a 3×12‑hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).

You will provide routine nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with the care team. Travel and credentialing support are provided, with nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

Active Practical Nurse license.
Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
Ability to work 3×12‑hour night shifts (19:00–07:30).
Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow and update care plans.
Willingness to complete background checks and pre‑employment screenings.
Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to travel for temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

Provide routine nursing care for residents in long‑term care under supervision of an RN or charge nurse.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to care plans and physician orders.
Monitor resident conditions, document vital signs and changes, and respond to urgent concerns per protocol.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote resident comfort, safety, and dignity.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and communicate resident status.
Ensure accurate charting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to facility policies.
