Job summary

IPS is seeking a dedicated VDC Scanning Technician to join our team at US office locations. The role involves extensive travel between Michigan and Indiana project sites and requires proficiency with cutting-edge scanning hardware.

You will execute laser scanning operations, transform scans into data, and support SOPs and data processing while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5-7 years of experience in computer-assisted drafting, design, scanning, construction, surveying, civil, and VDC/BIM.
• Demonstrated leadership in laser scanning with experience managing complex projects.
• Expertise in troubleshooting data quality and equipment issues; strong data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality laser scanning operations at various project sites.
• Develop expertise in cutting-edge scanning technologies and software.
• Uphold quality control protocols for scanning activities; ensure data meets standards.
• Assist in writing and maintaining SOPs for laser scanning operations; document best practices.
