Job summary

IPS is seeking a dedicated VDC Scanning Technician to join our team across US office locations. You will perform laser scanning operations on site, ensuring data quality, and support SOP development and data processing for ongoing projects.

You will travel between Michigan and Indiana project sites, using Leica RTC360, BLK2GO, TopCon Total Station, and NavVis VLX, while advancing your expertise in cutting-edge scanning technologies and maintaining high standards of safety and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in CAD, design, scanning, construction, surveying, civil, and VDC/BIM.
• Demonstrated leadership in laser scanning with complex projects.
• Expertise in troubleshooting data quality and equipment issues.
• Commitment to professional development with current scanning tech mastery.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and mentorship capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laser scanning operations at various project sites to meet high standards.
• Develop expertise in cutting-edge scanning tech and software; stay updated on advancements.
• Uphold quality control protocols for scanning data and outputs.
• Assist in writing and maintaining SOPs for laser scanning operations.
• Support Data Processing Technicians to enable smooth field-to-data workflow.
