Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a dedicated VDC Scanning Technician to join our team in the US. The role involves extensive laser scanning across sites, transforming scans into usable data, and supporting SOP development to ensure quality aligned with safety and schedule.

The candidate will travel between project sites, with 75-100% travel expected. Proficiency with Leica RTC360, BLK2GO, Topcon Total Station, and NavVis VLX is preferred, along with the ability to coordinate with Data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5-7 years of CAD/scanning/construction/civil/VDC/BIM experience.
• Experience leading complex laser scanning projects and managing challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality laser scanning operations across various project sites.
• Contribute to SOP development and data processing support.
• Ensure data quality and integrity per SOPs and project specs.
• Assist Data Processing Technicians to balance field and data workflows.
• Familiarity with RT360, BLK2GO, TopCon total station, and NavVis VLX hardware.
