Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for Smyrna, Tennessee. The RN will monitor labor, assist physicians, and support mother and newborn throughout delivery, with a 13-week assignment on 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements include 3 years of acute care experience and L&D certifications (ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN). Weekly pay, tax-free stipends, and benefits are included as part of the travel package.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ recent acute care RN experience.
• Labor & Delivery specialty knowledge.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation periodically.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up fluids around delivery.
