Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Turlock, California. This role is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts.

The ideal candidate has ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications and at least 3 years of acute care experience. In this travel position, you will support mothers and newborns through labor and delivery and assist physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications.
• 3 years' recent acute care RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, delivery instruments, and preparations for cesarean delivery.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
