Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing in Lakeview, OR is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care over 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, impacting mothers and newborns in a high-quality setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) on active status.
• NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and the team.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
