Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Hillsboro, OR. You’ll work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, delivering obstetric care and supporting mothers and newborns.

The role requires recent L&D RN experience, active RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, with preferred AWHONN fetal monitoring, STABLE and ACLS. Travel benefits apply and a dedicated clinical team supports you.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required; AWHONN fetal monitoring, STABLE and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing practice.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
