Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Lexington, NE. The role involves obstetric care, fetal monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Highlights include night shifts, 36 hours per week, and comprehensive benefits. Prior travel RN experience in L&D is preferred; licensure, BLS, and NRP are required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies per evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and assessments in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to improve outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
