Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery Travel RN for a 52-week assignment in Beatrice, Nebraska. The role centers on obstetric maternal and fetal care with 12-hour night shifts, and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

You will work within a supportive clinical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The position requires one year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification, with additional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) current.
• NRP Certification current.

Responsibilities

• Communicate obstetric procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing practices.
• Assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and neonatal assessment.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
