Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in Hickory, North Carolina. Start date is 10/12/2026 for a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour workweek and 16-hour shifts.

The RN will provide care before, during and after delivery, monitor mother and newborn, and educate families as needed. A degree, active RN license, and 18 months L&D experience are required, along with BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS/AWHONN certifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS AWHONN Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Labor and Delivery (L&D) setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby.
• Monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth.
• Monitor patients for potential high risk problems.
• Educate and support mothers and their families after giving birth.
