Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring AWHONN fetal monitoring and NRP certifications. Active TX or compact RN license required.

The role includes a Labor & Delivery unit with 15 beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds. Night hours are 7:00 PM–7:00 AM for a 13-week term; travel housing and licensure reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and intermediate or advanced AWHONN (or NCCEFM) fetal monitoring certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
• BSN, RNC-OB, and C-EFM certifications preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted).
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds.
• Patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, and 3-4:1 in APU and Triage.
• Performs procedures including C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC, and FSE placement.
• Uses EFM with Toco, ultrasound, pulse ox, BP cables, and NOVI equipment.
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 13-week assignment.
• Team includes secretaries, ANMs, relief charge nurses, and ORTs.
• Royal blue scrubs required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
