American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery in Texas, requiring 1 year of high-risk OB/L&D travel experience and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

The role involves a 13-week assignment on a Women's Hospital unit with night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), a 2:1 patient ratio, and on-call duties. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are available.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D required.
• OBED experience preferred.
• High-risk/high-volume OB experience preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates).

Responsibilities

• 13-week Labor and Delivery/OBED assignment at a Women's Hospital unit.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with Tuesday start dates.
• 23-bed unit with day shift staffed by 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CST, 3 OR RNs, and 1 secretary.
• Night shift staffed by 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 secretary.
• Patient ratio of 2:1.
• Uses CPN/Meditech EMR.
• On-call requirement of one shift every 4 weeks.
• Floating required within Women's Services including Postpartum and Antepartum.
• Provide comprehensive high-risk OB care including magnesium and insulin drip management.
• Circulate and scrub as needed for OB procedures.
• Best suited for team players who enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Requested time off must be facility-approved, and if approved, candidate must work three shifts those weeks along with two major winter holidays and one minor winter holiday.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted.
