Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery. This travel assignment requires BLS, ACLS, and NRP, with night shifts 19:00–07:00 and a 3x12 schedule in a hospital setting.

Candidates should have active AR or compact license, 2+ years of RN experience, and prior travel nursing. Responsibilities include managing LDRP, fetal monitoring, and newborn care, with necessary postpartum support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AR or compact) in hand.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Charge experience preferred; teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood products, and venous draws.
• Experience starting IVs and using infusion pumps; central line preferred.
• Two professional references required; PDFs of DL and SSN card needed.

Responsibilities

• Cares for Labor & Delivery, nursery, and postpartum in LDRP.
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00.
• Rotating weekends; patient ratio 1:2.
• Monitor fetal status; manage labor, deliveries, c-sections.
• Assist with epidurals, anesthesia support, and postpartum care.
• Provide newborn care and lactation support; discharge teaching.
• Administer Pitocin, magnesium, antihypertensives, insulin drips.
• Travel-ready with potential housing and licensure reimbursements.
