Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment in Texas. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of L&D experience and prior travel nursing experience, with active TX or compact RN licensure and required certifications.
Epic EMR experience is essential. Responsibilities include care across antepartum, labor, delivery and postpartum stages, with support for high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and neonatal care.
Qualifications
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Epic charting (EMR) experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit with support for Antepartum, High Risk Antepartum, LDRP, and Mother/Baby areas.
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00.
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Support high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and neonatal care in the delivery room.
- Deliver patient education on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning.
