Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. The LD RN will provide care during labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care, supporting physicians during procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires 3 years of acute care experience, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week. Benefits include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and medical/dental/vision coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled during delivery.
