Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Clearlake, CA. This role requires a 12-hour night shift with 36 hours per week and 3 years of acute care experience, plus ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required.
• 3 years of recent acute care experience.
• L&D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after birthing process.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Immediate care of newborn.
