Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in South Weymouth, MA. The role offers night shifts, 36 hours per week, and an opportunity to impact maternal and newborn care in a dynamic obstetric setting.

Ideal candidates have L&D experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP, with preferred Fetal Monitoring, STABLE and ACLS credentials. Travel benefits and comprehensive coverage accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (preferred).
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies and federal/state guidelines.
• Perform other duties within the labor and delivery scope.
