Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 19-week travel assignment in Frederick, MD. The candidate will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor mother and baby, and support the clinical team in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 1 year of L&D RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. STABLE and ACLS certifications are preferred. Travel pay and benefits apply, with a dedicated clinical team to support you.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
