Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a Labor and Delivery Travel Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Mount Pleasant, TX. The RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel status and immediate start. Requires acute care experience and L&D support across the birthing continuum.

The ideal candidate will monitor labor, assist with epidurals and cesarean prep, care for newborns, and collaborate with physicians. Travel nurses must be able to lift and stand for long periods in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• L&D RN experience preferred but not required for all cases.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage fluids/clean up after birth.
• Assist physician with delivery tools and setup.
• Provide immediate care to newborn after birth.
