Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Odessa, Texas. The assignment spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, featuring 12-hour night shifts in a travel capacity.

The role requires ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and PALS certifications and a minimum of 3 years' acute care RN experience. Travel L&D RNs monitor labor, assist physicians during epidurals or procedures, and care for newborns throughout the birthing process.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• Travel nursing assignment in Labor & Delivery with 13 weeks duration.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix and progression; assist physicians as needed.
• Maintain clean, dry beds and assist with birth supplies.
• Support newborn care immediately after delivery.
