TotalMed RN in Washington, DC is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for an immediate opening. The RN should have 3 years of acute care experience and be prepared for 12-hour night shifts on an 8-week assignment.

The role includes patient monitoring during labor, assisting physicians with delivery procedures, and providing newborn care. Travel staff with competitive pay and perks are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Labor and Delivery RN specialty.
• RN discipline for the role.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist patient with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation periodically.
• Assist with delivery instruments and drapes; provide immediate newborn care.
