Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Dothan, Alabama. This role offers 40 hours weekly, days shift, with competitive pay and a supportive clinical team.

As an IR tech, you will assist in imaging-guided procedures, prepare equipment, ensure safety and radiation protection, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses. Travel-friendly benefits and licensure reimbursement are part of the package.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Position and prep patients for IR procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for readiness.
• Manage procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast).
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members for patient care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
