Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA. Start ASAP, 40 hours per week, days shift, travel position.

The IR tech will assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures, operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and support the interventional radiology team in a fast-paced facility. Required ARRT/RCIS/RCES and BLS; travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• Radiologic Technologist license in the state.
• PALS or ENPC certification may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, maintain sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Provide patient education before, during and after procedures.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
