Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. You will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures, ensuring safety and high-quality care.

The role requires ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, BLS, and one year of IR tech experience. ACLS/PALS are preferred; travel benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of IR tech experience is required.
• Active ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification as per state rules.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC are preferred where applicable.
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures with emphasis on safety.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures and pass instruments.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural data.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and restock supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to ensure patient care.
• Follow infection control and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
