Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Charleston, South Carolina. You will work 40 hours per week, 8-hour days, in a fast-paced IR lab.

The role requires one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS; ACLS, PALS and state licensure are preferred. This travel position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated support.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech)
Valid ARRT, RCIS or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and passing instruments
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness
Collaborate with radiologists and care team to provide seamless patient care
Follow infection control, safety and regulatory protocols
