Job summary

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist role at Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab supports physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures with advanced imaging technology. You will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, scrub in for sterile procedures, and ensure safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) preferred.
• Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations should be maintained.
• PALS or ENPC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, maintain sterile field.
• Monitor patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; restock supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.
