Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Tampa, FL. The IR tech will assist physicians in minimally invasive procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires IR experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS; ACLS and additional licenses/certifications are preferred. Travel benefits and comprehensive support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification as per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications are preferred and licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in and maintaining sterile field.
• Monitor patient vital signs and procedural details; document accordingly.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff for patient care.
• Follow infection control and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
