American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures in New Jersey. The role requires 3–5 years of IR tech or CV tech experience and NJ radiographic licensure, plus BLS and ARRT(R) certification.

You will perform complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases, work 4×10 hour AM shifts, and participate in on-call rotations with per-procedure support. The position demands sterile technique proficiency, strong communication, and ability to collaborate

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist experience
• NJ radiographic licensure required
• BLS certification from an AHA-approved provider
• Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection prevention
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• 4x10 day shifts from 7a–5p (AM shift)
• On-call rotation: 1 week every 3 weeks, with weekday 5p–7a and weekend 7a–7a
• Operate fluoroscopy and power injection of iodinated contrast media
• Document in EMR and transmit images to Sectra/PACS
• Scrub in with proceduralists during complex cases
• May float to sister hospital as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
• Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist
• NJ radiographic licensure required
• BLS certification from an AHA-approved or accredited provider
• Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• High School Diploma/GED and an Associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection prevention measures
• Strong communication skills utilizing closed loop communication
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Radiology Special Procedures unit performing complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• 4x10 day shifts from 7a-5p, AM shift
• On-call rotation of 1 week including weekend, every 3rd week, with weekday call 5p-7a and weekend call 7a-7a
• Uses floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines and power injection of iodinated contrast media devices
• Utilizes Epic EMR and Sectra/PACS system for imaging
• May float to sister hospital as needed
• Scrub in alongside proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedures
• Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during procedures
• Perform groin management post-intervention
• Document in EMR and transmit images to Sectra/PACS system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
• Provide high quality care in a fast-paced environment
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
