American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification required. You will work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and IR settings in Carmel, Indiana.

Shifts are 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with call duties and floating across the hospital or affiliated sites. ACLS/BLS and active licensure are required, along with travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology.
• ARRT-R certification required; ACLS/BLS required.
• License required if applicable.
• Conscious sedation skills required.
• Ability to circulate and scrub in sterile field procedures.
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary and permanent pacemakers/defibrillators, and STEMI call.
• Experience with IR procedures including venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE/DVT treatment, TIPS, PV procedures, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, and GI/postpartum/internal bleeds.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• 2 supervisor references required.
• SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• Travel experience required.

Responsabilités

• Work in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and IR settings.
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Call required minimum 2 days/week and every 3rd weekend.
• 100% floating within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospital.
• Perform procedural responsibilities including monitoring and equipment setup.
• Assist with cardiac cath lab procedures and peripheral interventions.
• Follow isolation, PPE, and sterile technique at all times.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Assist with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy.
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and sterile technique at all times.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• RTO of 5 days or less is auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler.
• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must complete a designated break before reapplying.
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are considered local.

Responsibilities

• Equipment used includes Acist injector, Siemens C-arm, Philips C-arm, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shock wave, Rampart, Pneumbra, and Inari
• Cerner charting system used
• 100% floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Perform procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Perform genitourinary, abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies and procedures including angiography, embolization, angioplasty, and various catheter/drain placements
• Assist with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and sterile technique at all times
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
