Job summary

Reading Bakery Systems is seeking an Installation Technician for its Project Services Division. The role involves traveling to customer facilities worldwide to install, commission, startup, and optimize industrial baking and mixing equipment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems, interpret schematics, and perform field modifications while coordinating with customers and engineers. A technical background and hands-on experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical field.
• 3+ years in industrial equipment installation, commissioning or startup.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission industrial baking and mixing equipment at customer facilities.
• Support startup, testing, and verification to meet production, quality, and safety expectations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, combustion, and controls-related issues during installation and startup.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform field modifications, alignments, adjustments, and calibrations.
• Train customer operators and maintenance personnel during installation and startup.
• Complete commissioning, startup, and service documentation.
