Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Field Technician – Installation to perform mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of AMF equipment at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of field service in food/bakery, five years in electrical/mechanical experience, and willingness to travel up to 75% in North America and internationally. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of field service experience in the food/bakery or packaging industry.
• Five (5) years of electrical and mechanical experience in a high-speed bakery or other automated process equipment environment.
• 75% travel required in North America and international.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, FactoryTalk Optix.
• Preferred: Siemens TIA Portal for S7 PLCs.
• Programming capabilities and ability to troubleshoot PLCs and electrical circuits.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of AMF equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct inspections, repairs and maintenance of existing equipment.
• Prepare and execute installation work with pre-/post-installation meetings and reporting.
• Submit time and expense reports using assigned systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and installation leads for clear communication.
• Provide basic training to customer personnel on operation and maintenance of AMF equipment.
• Support 1st Line Support Engineer to resolve customer issues as needed.
• Advise customers on parts, upgrades, service offerings and contacts.
