Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse Infusion/PICC for a Hartford, CT assignment. You will deliver specialized infusion care, manage PICC lines, and educate patients while coordinating with the care team.

Candidates should have infusion RN experience, a current BLS certification, and be eligible for state licensure. This travel role requires autonomy, strong communication, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of RN experience in infusion setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Eligible for State licensure in the applicable state.
• Additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and other central venous access devices.
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed with proper infusion techniques.
• Monitor patient responses during and after infusions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure continuity across settings.
• Document interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately per regulations.
