TotalMed RN in Alton, IL seeks a travel RN Infusion/PICC nurse for a 13-week assignment, 40 hours weekly. The role focuses on infusion therapies, PICC line management, patient education, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• One year of infusion experience required.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for State licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and central venous access devices.
• Administer IV meds, fluids, and treatments per orders and monitor responses.
• Monitor patients during and after infusions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate care across settings.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses clearly and timely.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in all procedures.
• Manage a caseload with timely visits and patient satisfaction.
