Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an infusion setting in Lewiston, ME. The role involves direct patient care, chemotherapy administration, and patient education, with a 12-week assignment and day shifts. Weekly pay is provided in a supportive staffing network.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in Maine, current BLS, and ACLS on hire. Oncology experience of at least one year is required to join a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
