Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role supports infusion and oncology care teams, focusing on chemotherapy and related therapies in a fast-paced setting.

You will perform patient assessments, administer therapies per protocol, educate families, and ensure safety and HIPAA compliance while coordinating care with the oncology team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Maine.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
