Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center assignment in Chandler, AZ. Night shifts consist of 12-hour hours with a 36-hour work week for a 13-week term. Required are 3+ years ICU experience with neuro or CV specialty, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and AZ license.

RNs will titrate multiple drips and interpret telemetry across ICUs. Self-scheduling is available; up to one holiday off; Cerner EMR for charting and 24/7 in-house coverage.

Qualifications

• Active AZ license or Compact license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience with neuro or CV specialty.
• Experience with ICU-level neuro or CV care.

Responsibilities

• Care for SICU and MICU patients with 1:2 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Titrate drips (Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, levophed, vasopressin, cardene, labetalol, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, insulin).
• Interpret telemetry strips using GE monitors.
• Chart using Cerner EMR.
• Float to telemetry unit as needed (1:3 or 1:4) across ICUs.
