Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU - Intensive Care Unit in Evanston, Illinois. This travel assignment runs for 12 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day/night shifts.

Active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 18 months in an Acute Care ICU are required. The position offers weekly pay, housing or housing allowance, travel reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for distress
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for changes in patient condition
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively
