Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. This role demands an Active RN license, an accredited nursing degree, and BLS & ACLS certifications.

Expect 18+ months of recent ICU experience, with 36 hours/week on 12-hour day shifts for a travel assignment. Travel nurses receive comprehensive benefits, housing options, and weekly pay through MedPro Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified agency.

Qualifications

Active RN License
Degree from accredited nursing program
BLS & ACLS Certification
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for signs of distress.
Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in condition.
Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
