Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, IL. RNs must have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and hold BLS/ACLS certifications. The role includes nights, 12-hour shifts, and travel employment.

As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will evaluate and monitor patients in ICU, document and implement care plans, educate families, and collaborate with physicians. Comprehensive benefits and weekly pay are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work, order tests and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and record readings.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
