Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The position requires an Active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and BLS & ACLS certifications with at least eighteen months of ICU experience.

As a travel assignment, you will work a 12-hour night shift on a 36-hour work week, providing high-level critical care to adult patients and supporting families.

Qualifications

Active RN license.
Degree from accredited nursing program.
BLS & ACLS certification.
Eighteen months of recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration; detect distress.
Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for changes in patient condition.
Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
