Job summary

Sierra Air Inc is seeking a Service Technician to travel to customers' homes in Reno, NV, diagnose and repair HVAC systems, and maintain clear communication with office staff. The role requires EPA and NATE certifications, along with OSHA training and 3 years of HVAC experience.

You will collect payments, complete paperwork, and upsell service options where appropriate. Work involves indoor/outdoor conditions, lifting, and potential on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• NATE certification required within 1 year of hire
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• 3 years of HVAC experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain all types of residential HVAC equipment at customer's location—first-time fix where possible
• Keep the work vehicle and tools neat and organized at all times
• Attend training classes to maintain expertise in the field
• Take scheduling directions from dispatcher and keep them informed of progress
• Fill out service tickets in the field and collect payment when required
• Recommend/sell service agreements, duct cleanings and accessories when appropriate
• Follow up on issues with Service Dispatcher and ensure paperwork is complete
• Maintain minimum stock on the truck at all times
