Job summary

CoolSys in Reno, NV seeks a Service Tech 2 - Refrigeration to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems. You will handle complex issues and guide junior technicians, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and trade/technical training.
• Pass Tech Skills Level 2 with 80% or better.
• Valid EPA certificate.
• 0-2 years experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on schedule.
• Repair/overhaul equipment incl. compressors, pumps, air handlers, controls.
• Test malfunctioning systems with electrical/mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible records of work history.
• Provide repair on refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, pumps, furnaces, motors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.
• Assist startups of new installations.
