Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Major Component Exchange (MCE) Field Specialist to perform maintenance, replacement, and repair of wind turbine generators across the United States. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and document work using service reporting tools.

Expect extensive travel (up to 90%), operate heavy equipment, read electrical schematics, and collaborate with engineers to ensure safe, reliable wind farm operations. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years as Wind Turbine Technician or 6+ years related experience in wind/energy or similar field.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 90%.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems on wind turbines.
• Coordinate site preparation with minimal supervision.
• Document work using service reporting procedures and communicate site status to engineers and customers.
