Job summary

Pearce Services in the United States seeks an Experienced MCE Wind Technician for the Main Component Exchange division. This role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency while performing on-site and up-tower work, with 100% travel.

Core duties include lifting operations, turbine electrical repairs, and adherence to LOTO, JHAs, and RAs. Candidates need 3+ years of turbine experience, schematics literacy, MCE exposure, specific turbine certifications, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Direct turbine experience is required.
Minimum of 3 years of wind turbine component experience.
Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers.
Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required with additional knowledge in lifting operations.
Hold specific turbine manufacture certifications.
Detailed knowledge of generators, converters and electrical equipment.
Must be proficient in English for safety and communication.

Responsibilities

Support lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’.
May oversee lifting operations following verification of large components and create, review, correct, and amend lifting plans.
Conduct safe and efficient repairs to wind turbine electrical systems.
Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures; may act as Authorized Person.
Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
Interact with vendors and customers professionally.
Document all work and provide feedback to Safety and Quality departments.
