Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop and implement QA plans for federal construction projects. You will conduct daily inspections, review submittals, and coordinate with field staff and government representatives to resolve non-conformances.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of QA/QC experience, with travel as needed. Strong documentation, communication, and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
  • 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience.
  • Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the QASP in compliance with FAR and CQM requirements.
  • Perform daily quality inspections to meet standards.
  • Oversee Quality Control meetings with stakeholders and subs.
  • Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, materials.
  • Coordinate with field staff and government reps to address non-conformances.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and corrective action logs.
  • Support safety and project controls to ensure integrated compliance.
  • Ensure testing is performed by qualified personnel and approved labs.
  • Participate in meetings, audits, and inspections to verify completion.
  • Identify quality trends and process improvements.
