Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a quality assurance professional to lead field and office QA/QC activities on federal construction programs. You will develop and maintain the QASP, review submittals, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with FAR, CQM, and contract requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, willingness to travel, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of directly related experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the project QA/QC plan per FAR, CQM, and contract specs.
  • Perform daily quality inspections and document progress against standards.
  • Lead contractor QC meetings with stakeholders and subs.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings and materials for conformance.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and government representatives to address non-conformances.
  • Maintain detailed quality records and NCRs, corrective actions, test results.
  • Collaborate with safety and controls to meet quality, safety, and schedule goals.
  • Ensure testing/inspection tasks are done by qualified labs and personnel.
  • Participate in meetings and audits to verify completion and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify quality trends and drive continuous improvement.
