Job summary

Pyrotek is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the SNIF team. This role requires extensive travel (up to 80%) both domestically and internationally, with a focus on servicing mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a engineering background, PLC knowledge, and strong communication skills to provide on-site support, training, and technical solutions while working closely with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in demanding environments.
• Provide onsite technical support for operation, maintenance, commissioning, and repair.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment and engineered systems.
• Inspect and test machinery to verify proper operation.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and documentation.
• Diagnose equipment issues and develop practical solutions.
• Perform instrument loop and system safety checks.
• Apply PLC knowledge to support troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance.
• Provide technical training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting findings and resolutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve issues.
